Tina Parol: Artist. Songwriter. Publisher

You could say that Parol’s music career was destined from birth - her parents named her “Tina” after the iconic Tina Turner and she shares her namesakes tenacity. Born in New York to Polish immigrants, Tina was constantly immersed in culture and still has family that lives all over the world from France to Poland to The Netherlands to Canada and the USA. Growing up on everything from pop music to rock, hip hop and soul, she gained a strong music education in her youth which gave her all the ammo she needed to pave her path in the musical landscape.

Combining her love of pop melodies with intense beats and inspiring, powerful lyrics with her dynamic vocals, Tina is ready to show the world what she is truly capable of. Starting her career as a singer/songwriter, she now is releasing + performing her own music - including her songs inspired by her battle with scoliosis. Her song “I Am a Fighter” is a song to inspire you, no matter what you are going through.

When I first put out music many, many years ago, I tried to hide my scoliosis.

Now, I’m embracing it, in hopes that my story will help someone out there.

Artists such as Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Tenille Townes, Colbie Callait, Lady A and others have recorded songs Tina has written. She has won two CCMA awards for Songwriter of the Year, both in 2020 and 2021, making her the first female to win the coveted award in back to back years. As an artist, Tina has had a top 40 Billboard pop hit and her own music has been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, The Disney Channel, Disney on Ice, Paramount + and in ads for Target, Kohls, Sephora and the US Department of Health and Human Services, amongst others.

Tina Parol was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 11. After wearing a back brace for several years, at age 17, Tina didn't want to think about scoliosis and ignored her condition for many years. In her mid- 20's, Tina came to terms with her health and started a Schroth regimen to manage her increasing back pain. By her early 30's, both Tina's curvature and pain progressed and she decided to have scoliosis surgery. Going through the surgery was daunting, as it was both the hardest and best thing she's ever done. Tina's song "I Am a Fighter" and an Ep of the same name include songs inspired by her battle. Tina will be donating a % of proceeds from this upcoming music to World Spine Outreach.

About the collection….

When we first met Tina, we knew she was a fierce, dynamic + creative soul who uses her music to heal not only herself, but everyone who listens. We were inspired by how HER strength has carried her through living with scoliosis, while embracing her body. It inspired us to create something that would embody that spirit.

We worked closely with her to create this scoliosis inspired jewelry line. The journey with scoliosis can make you feel like you have lost some of the balance within yourself - we wanted each of these pieces to bring you harmony through their flowing designs paired with the stones. Taking inspiration from the beauty of her scars, some of the pieces are designed specifically to accentuate your scars, not hide them.

Tina is committed to helping the world be a better place through what she writes, and we are helping her to do that through this jewelry. 10% of the proceeds from this collection go to World Spine Outreach, a Buffalo based organization that helps facilitate scoliosis surgeries in 3rd world countries.

Find the power inside of you + live your story.

THE STONES

Moonstone

This stone is filled with feminine energy and calms the emotions, a stone of inner growth, promotes inspiration and success.

The moon, in feng shui and many other spiritual traditions, represents divine femininity. As the moon cycles connect us to nature, the moonstone also reminds us that our lives also ebb and flow. Moonstone cultivates compassion and empathy. It helps us to tap into our intuition.

The creative and intuitive power of feminine energy is activated by the moonstone. It can help us balance and cool down emotions and tension. It can also put us in tune with our feminine and feeling side.

The serene and tranquil energy of the moonstone also invites creativity.

Fluorite

Fluorite is a stone that fosters inner harmony, peace + serenity. It also is thought to be a particularly good crystal for assisting with focus, clear thinking, and creative inspiration.

They remind us that every star and galaxy has a place in its grand design. We, too, have our special place in the universe.

By using Fluorite, we can begin to place ourselves within the grand play that we are all a part of. Just as each one of us comes in a different design (and just like no two scoliosis curves are alike), so too does Fluorite.

It also helps to strengthen your bones.
